An important feature of Shoreline membership is the social life. At
present, this includes the eight Interest Groups listed below. For
members interested in more detailed information about agendas and
meetings, please contact the chairperson.
Art Appreciation
For art enthusiasts who like to spend time with like-minded people at
museums, special exhibits and studios. Core members meet for
planning sessions; general membership receives invitations to join

Bridge
Card players get together the first Wednesday of each month to enjoy
the game of bridge and good conversation. Two groups are active.
They meet 1PM (Eloise Brady) and 7PM (Carolyn Johns)
Financial Matters
Members meet at various times to discuss the marketplace, real
estate and other financial matters. (Shelley Pelletier)
Gourmet Cookery
Participants expand their knowledge of ethnic dining, preparations for
special occasions, famous chefs and gourmands. Meeting times vary.

Great Adventures
Members plan and coordinate special trips open to the general
membership. The 2009-10 agenda includes glass blowing in
Stonington, Connecticut and the Tenement Museum in New York.

Hiking
Nature and physical fitness come together several days a week in a
hiking schedule extending from November to March. Participants walk
three times a week; the leader notifies participants of time and place.

International Interests
Groups discuss politics, the environment and civil rights. Two groups
are active. They meet the first Monday of the month at 10AM (Gene St.
Paul) and the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7PM (Mary Lee Duff)
Literature
Groups discuss books from their reading lists. Three groups are
active. They meet the second Friday of the month at 10AM (Jane Ann
Miller); the third Monday of the month at 1PM (Ginny Passero) and the
first Monday of the month at 2PM where the group makes spontaneous
‘eclectic’ reading selections which do not follow a pre-planned list
